Brayden got a chance to run in the Westside Marathon this year.  He was so excited cause he got to and Kjelden didn't.  He received a t-shirt to match all the runners, although it was cold enough that all the runners had coats on, so they all looked different.  Little Brayden is close to the grass in the first picture with kind of a teal colored coat on.  There were LOTS of kids running around the track and making the most of that LAST mile of the marathon.

They even had teachers and parents running/walking with them, encouraging them along the way.

Brayden's teacher and friend, Tony, walked together for a little while.  The encouragement was all that was needed especially in front of the grandstands, where Mom and Dad were sitting.  Every time Brayden passed the grandstands, he would kick up his speed to maybe a gallop, sometimes a full speed.  When he got past Mom and Dad, he would slow, once again, to a walk.

All in all, it was a great day for Brayden.  He EVEN GOT A MEDAL!!!  He is so proud of his medal.  Even the next day, he has said, "Mom, I can't believe I got a medal!!"
