Brayden is a BIG boy now!

Our little Brayden turned 5 today and he was so excited!!!  He woke up happy (very unusual) and was happy pretty much most of the day because 5 year olds know how to be happy.  Here are some highlights of his day:

Brayden got his name spelled with money from his friend, Daniel and his mom, Jeanna.  It was awesome!

This was a highlight.  Six boys on the merry go round.  It was 8, but Simon and Matthew decided they wanted to do something else.  This is Daniel, Brayden, Canyon, Hyrum, Kellon, and Barrett.

Simon was upset about Kjelden and Brayden catching an ant.  He didn't think that was too proper, but.....

Brayden was dancing the Caught-an-Ant Jig.  He thought that was pretty cool.  He got a nature tool from Mom and Dad and on it was a bug catcher.  LOVED IT!!

He also got two sets of Legos, one from Canyon, his friend and one from Mom and Dad.  He had an exciting time watching Kjelden build a BIG ship and then he made one himself.

He had a hard time trying to decide if he wanted to play Legos or play with the motorcycles he got from Kellon and Barrett. He went back and forth, back and forth.

And we can't forget the money he got from Hyrum and from Aunt Susan.  He will now be able to go and get something he wants from Walmart.  Yeah that ought to be an exciting trip!!

He also got a reading lamp, which he begged and begged for so he could read at night (just like Kjelden).  And he got some blocks from Grandpa and Grandma George.  WE LOVE BLOCKS!! They are like Legos.  They can entertain for hours on end.

Thanks so much for all the love and presents that were given to Brayden.  He loved a day set aside just for him.  It was hard for big brother to not have the center stage for one day and hard for little brother because he didn't get any toys for himself, but it was a great day!!

Big boy at 5 years old

Racing to the park to be the first one there. I have to be there first cause I'm the boss of my birthday party! We raced Chris and JJ (didn't really race, they got there first)

Acted very well for his first day as a 5 year old.  He even tried NOT to cry when he fell off the chair at the table trying to show dad he could sit in the "naughty chair" (only naughty because they always fall out of them) and not fall out.

Yippee!  I'm 5!! Really he was so excited to turn 5.  Not real sure why that was such a turning point, but yippee!!!

Didn't fight with his brothers.  He was so excited to let them help him try out all his new toys!!

Even let Sheyna try out the new toys--not for very long.  Brayden had to wash them off because she slobbered!

Now it's on to the next year.  It's been a great year for Brayden.  There has been a lot of growing and learning. 

What a great kid!!  Got to love him and his personality.
